An addendum to my last post. I don't know what in the heck Tucapau means in the Indian language but it ain't "Strong Cloth" or "Red Hills", not in the Cherokee Indian language anyway.
Here's the phonetics of the Cherokee:
Strong = u la ni gi da
Cloth = a nu wo
Together, it would sound like u la ni gi da a nu wo
Red = gi ga ge
Hills = di ga du si
Together, it would sound like gi ga ge di ga du si
Can anybody make Tucapau out of either of those?

Well, I'm gonna tell you what I heard from Mr. Cash, or maybe it was Mr. Fortenberry, when I was real little. Tucapau was the leader of the group of Cherokees that ran around between the Tygers before the whiteman started moving in. I didn't know about the strong cloth thing until I read it on the Tucapau web page. I wonder if some of the Cherokee scholars up in the mountains can tell us.
